It all starts with a friendly visit. We’ll come to your home, have a proper chat, and most importantly, we’ll listen. We want to understand exactly what you’re looking for, what’s important to you, and how we can help.

While we’re there, we’ll take some photos and sketch out a few ideas. If you’re not quite sure what you want yet, that’s totally fine as we’re full of ideas and happy to offer honest opinions based on what would work best for your space.

After the visit, we’ll get to work on detailed drawings and send you a no-obligation quote. If you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll take a 25% deposit and then one of our experienced surveyors will pop round to take exact measurements and check everything’s good to go. We don’t believe in “guess work” and “close enough”, only in careful planning and clear communication from day one.

Window Fabrication

Unlike many companies, we make everything ourselves, right here in Birmingham. That means no middlemen, no waiting around, and no cutting corners.

Our fabrication team is highly trained, NVQ qualified, and use only high-quality, virgin materials for a flawless finish. Each product is bespoke, carefully crafted for your home, and checked at every stage before it leaves our workshop. If we wouldn’t have it in our own homes, it doesn’t leave the building.

We know having work done in your home can feel disruptive. That’s why we go out of our way to make the installation as smooth as possible.

We’ll move furniture, cover carpets, and treat your home with respect. Any window we start we finish that same day. That means you’ll never have to worry about safety or the elements. We tidy up after ourselves so it’s like we were never there – apart from the lovely new windows, of course!

Our fitting team is made up of full-time Birmingham Glass employees, no subcontractors. Every installer has at least 5 years’ experience with us, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards. Plus, all our fitters are DBS checked and NVQ trained.

All our windows are A-rated as standard, and because we manufacture them ourselves, we’re always on hand to solve any issues, quickly and properly.

Once your windows are in and everything’s looking great, our commitment to you doesn’t stop there. At Birmingham Glass, we believe great service continues well beyond installation day.

How long will it take from when I order my windows to when they get fitted?

Timelines can vary depending on the size and scale of your project, but to give you a rough idea, we’ve put together a handy guide. It covers each stage, from your initial quote to final installation, so you’ll know what to expect and when.

Will bad weather stop my windows from being fitted?

In most cases, a bit of typical British weather won’t slow us down! Our fitting teams are experienced and prepared for a range of conditions. That said, in the event of extreme weather, we might need to reschedule for everyone’s safety, but we’ll always keep you informed.

What do I need to do before the windows are installed?

There’s not too much to worry about. We just ask that you clear the area around the windows as best you can; things like blinds, curtains, ornaments, and any nearby furniture. We’ll take care of the rest, including dust sheets and protection for your floors. Here’s a quick checklist to run through.

Will my windows be installed from the inside or the outside?

For most projects, installation is done from the inside, which means we can keep going even in bad weather. Our fitters will talk you through exactly how it’ll work on the day.
